Nischala Devi weaves compassionate knowledge of the physical to intuitive wisdom of the mystical for a complete understanding of who we really are.

In every human being there are dynamic energy centers, the chakras. They contain valuable information on the material and more subtle aspects of every action and every thought.


Ascending and descending energy channels connect the chakras between themselves and connect vitality and knowledge with every aspect of our being. When the channels are open, the energy flows unhindered and you feel healthy and strong. Daily stress reduces energy flow, which can lead to laziness, anxiety, depression or even illness.


With this new understanding, one can balance the body and the mind with the fundamental practices of yoga, and even relieve symptoms of disease. It opens up a new approach to holistic health.


Actions, thoughts and self-understanding are essential to health or illness. Here, body consciousness and breath consciousness combine with mental consciousness.


Together, common concepts of modern civilization are examined. Are they avoidable or inevitable? Through self-observation old mental processes and energy patterns can be resolved.


When simple techniques are practiced with a more refined consciousness, they can lead more deeply into the power of the soul, where the source of holistic health lies.


Short biography

Nischala Joy Devi is a masterful and compassionate teacher renowned internationally. Her experience is based on western medical training and many years of practice in the classical Gurukula system (ashram training). She became well known with her pioneering work in the yoga portion of Dr Dean Ornish's Programme for Reversing Heart Disease.

Nischala Joy Devi is the author of the books The Healing Path of Yoga and The Secret Power of Yoga.

  • 8 pm Evening meditation, mantra chanting and course meeting


Monday – Friday, 28.8 – 1.9

  • 6 – 7:30 am Morning meditation, mantra chanting, talk
  • 8 – 10 am Course lecture
  • 10 am Vegetarian brunch
  • 12 – 3 pm Course lecture (with break)
  • 4 pm Asana and pranayama class
  • 6 pm Vegetarian dinner
  • 8 pm Evening meditation, mantra chanting, talk


Departure day, Saturday, 2.9

Room and board

Room and board are in the non-smoking eco-hotel serving wholesfood organic vegetarian meals.
All guest rooms have wooden floors and furniture, health mattresses, shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone and radio. Most rooms have a balcony. more

What you will need for your stay

A meditation pillow for the morning and evening meditation sessions is recommended. A meditation shawl is also advantageous. 


To practice the yoga poses you will need a non-slip yoga mat or wool mat. You will need a blanket to cover yourself at the end of the yoga class during the so-called final relaxation.


Pillows, shawls, blankets, mats and much more can be purchased in our online shop or in our boutique after arrival.


For your stay you should bring comfortable clothing, slippers, walking shoes, rain gear, torch (flashlight), bathing suit and towels. Eyeglass wearers should bring a hard case for safe storage during the yoga classes.
